Hello Kewaunee School District and Welcome Back to the 2023-24 School Year!

Thank you to our Maintenance staff for all of their hard work getting our buildings ready to go for the new school year.   The rest of our KSD staff have been busy preparing for the 23-24 school year and we are very excited to welcome our students back for the upcoming year. We are looking forward to the changes in our school schedule, the reduced class sizes in our 7th and 8th grade, and the increased science and social studies instruction in our 6th – 8th grades for the 23-24 school year.  In addition, we are currently reviewing our literacy instruction practices and resources PK-12 with a focus on improving our literacy instruction and improving our content area literacy in all grades.  Our Kewaunee Instructional Leadership Team, made up of teacher leaders and administrators, will meet in August to focus on our district/building goals, district committees and our K12 department structure for the upcoming school year.   This leadership group will review data and help plan to ensure that we continue to move forward to meet the goals of our future plan for the district.

KSD staff are very excited for the new school year and are always looking for ways to grow and get better.  As we continue build upon all of the great things happening at KSD and look for ways to grow together in the future, I am honored to be your superintendent and look forward to working with you to create the best opportunities for our students, staff and community in Kewaunee.
