Kewaunee School District

ATTENTION PARENTS!  We have been notified that the City of Kewaunee
is cutting back on crossing guards.  Effective Janaury 1, 2012, the intersection
of Center Street and First Street will no longer be controlled by crossing guards.
Please inform your students to use caution when crossing the street at that
intersection since there will not be an adult to assist them.

As you well know, our District’s Strategic Action Plans are in their first year of implementation. 
Every three months we will provide updates on progress made in recent months, and
anticipated progress for future months ahead.

On pages two, three and four of the December issue of the Community Connection are the

STATE SUPERINTENDENT VISITS KEWAUNEE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Tony Evers, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, selected the Kewaunee School District
to host his Advisory Council on Rural Schools, Libraries, and Communities.  Council members
from all parts of Wisconsin with an interest in advancing and supporting rural education and
communities attended the meeting on October 21, 2011.
