Even though summer has begun, our dedicated elementary teachers of literacy are continuing their training of Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS). They are finishing up part 1 this week, and will begin their learning in part 2 next week, to further their knowledge in writing. Part 1 focused on phonics, and the production of sounds. We all have expanded our knowledge on how to coach students to produce the sounds correctly. It has been a transformational year of teaching for all. A big thank you to Leah Jarocki and Brian Annen for leading their learning!
