Kewaunee Elementary School

We had an amazing visit with graphic novel author Mat Heagerty! He captivated our students, diving deep into the writing process and the cool collaboration that happens in comics. It was awesome to see how he highlighted the strength in our differences – such a powerful message! The kids were engrossed, especially when they got to create their own comic characters. Some students were invited to collaborative writing and illustrating workshops. So much creativity buzzing. What a fantastic experience! We are excited to bring him back in fall for the rest of the elementary!
