Our Physical Education classes have been buzzing with energy these past few weeks, and we wanted to share some of the fun we've been having getting active! First, we laced up our skates and rolled into an exciting roller-skating unit! This year brought an extra spark to the rink with the addition of fun, colorful lights in the gym. The students had a blast gliding, turning, and even trying out some tricks under the dazzling glow. It was a great way to build balance, coordination, and have a whole lot of fun! Next, we traded our wheels for dancing shoes for a fantastic dance unit. Students explored different rhythms, learned new steps, and discovered the joy of expressing themselves through movement. From line dances to creative freestyle, it was wonderful to see everyone step outside their comfort zones and embrace the beat.
These units highlight the importance of finding activities we enjoy to stay healthy and active. Whether it's the rhythm of music or the thrill of gliding on wheels, there's a way for everyone to move their bodies and feel great.
And speaking of moving and grooving together... mark your calendars! We're thrilled to announce our upcoming Family Dance Night on Monday, April 28th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM! Come join us in the gymnasium for an evening of music, laughter, and fun for the whole family. It's a fantastic opportunity see what the students have been practicing and maybe even show off some of your own moves with familiar songs. We can't wait to see you there!
Let's keep the energy going, Kewaunee! Stay active and have fun!
