Hi! I’m Sam Severin, and I’m so excited to step into the role of the 4K-6th grade art teacher at Kewaunee this school year. I believe the art room should be a space full of curiosity, exploration, and challenges. Personally, painting and sculpture are some of my favorite ways to make art, and I can’t wait to help students discover their own artistic passions.
After several years away, I’ve recently moved back to the Kewaunee area with my wife, Shelbi, and our two pets, Eleanor and Birdie. I am also grateful to share that we will be expecting a baby girl in December. It feels great to return to the community where I grew up. I graduated from Kewaunee High School before earning my degree in Art Education from UW-Milwaukee. For the past four years, I’ve been teaching in the Fond du Lac School District, where I gained valuable experience.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors, golfing, hunting, and fishing with my family. I’m happy to be home and I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the community, meeting new faces, and kicking off a great school year with lots of positive energy!
