anthem

On April 9th, second grade students of Kewaunee Elementary School sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a Kewaunee High School varsity baseball game and a KHS varsity softball game. These students practiced in class for weeks, many with great enthusiasm for the opportunity. Students sang along to a recording provided by MusicPlayOnline. One of the best parts of this experience for Carly Larson, music teacher at KES, was seeing students who do not normally get excited to sing in front of others get pumped up with excitement to sing at a sporting event. She would like to thank Dan Spranger, Duane Skalecki, Ellie Olsen, and Amanda Reptiz for welcoming these students to sing at the games and for providing this delightful opportunity. She would also like to thank the community, staff, and administration for their incredible support, as well as the students for their dedication and hard work. We are very proud of our second graders!

They did an amazing job! Take a listen...
