Guidelines You Can Use to Determine if Your Child is Too Sick to Attend School
A fever of 100 degrees or higher. If the fever is accompanied by a rash, earache, sore throat, fatigue or nausea, it may indicate an infection
A persistent productive cough and wheezing combined with a thick or constant nasal discharge.
Persistent vomiting or diarrhea during the previous night or in the morning before school.
An undiagnosed rash, especially with a fever and behavior changes.
Pinkeye in which there is a yellow discharge, often with matted eyelids, eye pain, and redness
Strep throat or scarlet fever.
Chickenpox/Shingles - stay home for 5 days after the onset of blisters, or until all pox are scabbed over and dry. Student will need to see a Doctor for treatment of shingles.
