I am absolutely thrilled to be the new fifth grade Science and Social Studies teacher this year! I know my students are going to love the content we'll be exploring just as much as I do. This year marks my 28th year as an educator and although I have served in many roles within the district this is my very first year teaching fifth grade.
My husband Jason and I have four adult children and one son-in-law, all of whom are recent college graduates and have successfully launched careers in their areas of study. All seven of us were born and raised right here in our beautiful lakeshore city, and we're all proud graduates of Kewaunee High School. We also own a small business here in Kewaunee, which gives us wonderful opportunities to support our school and community in many ways. In my spare time, you'll often find me spending time at the beach and enjoying the outdoors, usually with a good audiobook playing.
I truly can't wait to get to know each and every one of my new fifth graders and share in so many new and exciting learning opportunities. We're going to have a fantastic time as we learn to think like scientists and historians!
