Hello! My name is Sarah Hanna, and I'm excited to join the Kewaunee
School District as the middle and high school choir director.
I grew up on a small dairy farm in Luxemburg, Wisconsin, with my six
siblings and attended Luxemburg-Casco Schools from kindergarten
through graduation in 2015. Throughout school, I was involved in band,
choir, color guard, and the high school newspaper. During my junior
year, I realized I wanted to pursue a career in music education
because music class had always been a welcoming and supportive place
for me. That passion led me to St. Norbert College, where I earned my
triple certification in Music Education.
After graduating, I spent the past seven years teaching music with
GRACE in Green Bay. I'm excited to begin this new chapter in Kewaunee
and look forward to sharing my love of music with students while
helping them grow as musicians and individuals. Outside of school,
you'll usually find me making music in one way or another—directing
the local community band, singing or directing in choir, or simply
enjoying music for fun. When I'm not making music, I enjoy reading a
good book, swimming, spending time outdoors, and spending time with
friends and family.
